⁹ As the cloud disappears and vanishes away,
So ^(A)he who goes down to the grave does not come up.

And his life shall see the light.

³ O Lord, ^(A)You brought my soul up from the grave;
You have kept me alive, ^[a]that I should not go down to the pit.

¹⁷ Indeed it was for my own peace
That I had great bitterness;
But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption,
For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.

⁶ I went down to the ^[a]moorings of the mountains;
The earth with its bars closed behind me forever;
Yet You have brought up my ^(A)life from the pit,
O Lord, my God.
