⁷ Your beginnings will seem humble,
    so prosperous^(A) will your future be.^(B)

⁸ Taste and see that the Lord is good;^(A)
    blessed is the one who takes refuge^(B) in him.
⁹ Fear the Lord,^(C) you his holy people,
    for those who fear him lack nothing.^(D)
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.^(E)

¹⁰ then your barns will be filled^(A) to overflowing,
    and your vats will brim over with new wine.^(B)
