18 How (A)the beasts groan!
    The herds of cattle are perplexed
because there is no pasture for them;
    even the flocks of sheep suffer.[a]

19 To you, (B)O Lord, I call.
(C)For fire has devoured
    the pastures of the wilderness,
(D)and flame has burned
    all the trees of the field.
20 Even the beasts of the field (E)pant for you
    because the water brooks are dried up,

20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
