13 who were [a]born, not of [b]blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh, and [c]dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of [d]the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. 15 John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, [e]This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me is become before me: for he was [f]before me.

13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.(A)
