27 My sheep hear My voice. And I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, ever. And someone will not snatch them out of My hand. 29 What[a] My Father has given to Me is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of the hand of the Father.

- John 10:29 Or, That-which. Jesus may be referring to the flock itself viewed as an abstract whole; or, to His ‘authority over all flesh to give eternal life’ (17:2), making what follows ‘snatch it’. In either case, both the Father and the Son ensure the safety of the flock.

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them,(A) and they follow me.(B) 28 I give them eternal life,(C) and they shall never perish;(D) no one will snatch them out of my hand.(E) 29 My Father, who has given them to me,(F) is greater than all[a];(G) no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
