⁴²^(A)I knew that you always hear me, but I said this ^(B)on account of the people standing around, ^(C)that they may believe that you sent me.”

⁴²I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here,^(A) that they may believe that you sent me.”^(B)

⁴²And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

³¹We know that ^(A)God does not listen to sinners, but ^(B)if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.

³¹We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will.^(A)

³¹Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
