52 It was a prediction that Jesus’ death would not be for Israel only, but for all the children of God scattered around the world. 53 So from that time on the Jewish leaders began plotting Jesus’ death.

54 Jesus now stopped his public ministry and left Jerusalem; he went to the edge of the desert, to the village of Ephraim, and stayed there with his disciples.

52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.(A) 53 So from that day on they plotted to take his life.(B)

54 Therefore Jesus no longer moved about publicly among the people of Judea.(C) Instead he withdrew to a region near the wilderness, to a village called Ephraim, where he stayed with his disciples.
