John 12:32-34
Good News Translation
32 When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to me.” (33 In saying this he indicated the kind of death he was going to suffer.)
34 (A)The crowd answered, “Our Law tells us that the Messiah will live forever. How, then, can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

New International Version
32 And I, when I am lifted up[a] from the earth,(A) will draw all people to myself.”(B) 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.(C)
34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law(D) that the Messiah will remain forever,(E) so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man(F) must be lifted up’?(G) Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
