John 12:7-9

7 Jesus answered, “Don’t stop her. It was right for her to save this perfume for today—the day for me to be prepared for burial. 8 You will always have those who are poor with you.[a] But you will not always have me.”

9 Many of the Jews heard that Jesus was in Bethany, so they went there to see him. They also went there to see Lazarus, the one Jesus raised from death.

John 12:7-9
New International Version
7 “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.(A) 8 You will always have the poor among you,[a](B) but you will not always have me.”
9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.(C)
