35 This is how everyone will know
that you are my disciples:
if you love one another.”
36 Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial.[a] Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered,
“Where I am going,
you cannot follow me now,
but you will follow me later on.”
37 Peter said, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
