²⁸ “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’^(A) If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,^(B) for the Father is greater than I.^(C)

² My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there^(A) to prepare a place for you? ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back^(B) and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.^(C)

⁷ But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate^(A) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.^(B)
