33 But having come to Jesus, when they saw Him already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers stabbed His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And the one[a] having seen it has testified, and his testimony is true. And that one[b] knows that he is speaking true things, so that you also may believe.

New International Version
33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced(A) Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.(B) 35 The man who saw it(C) has given testimony, and his testimony is true.(D) He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.
