33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was dead already, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers thrust him in the side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.
35 And he who saw it has borne witness, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he speaks the truth, so that you may believe also.

New International Version
33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced(A) Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.(B) 35 The man who saw it(C) has given testimony, and his testimony is true.(D) He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.
