John 19:34-36
New Matthew Bible
34 But one of the soldiers thrust him in the side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.
35 And he who saw it has borne witness, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he speaks the truth, so that you may believe also. 36 These things were done so that the scripture would be fulfilled: Not one of his bones shall be broken.

34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced(A) Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.(B) 35 The man who saw it(C) has given testimony, and his testimony is true.(D) He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled:(E) “Not one of his bones will be broken,”[a](F)
