16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and said unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master.

17 [a]Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my [b]brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto [c]my Father, and to your Father, and to my God, and your God.

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic,(A) “Rabboni!”(B) (which means “Teacher”).

17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers(C) and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father(D) and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

18 Mary Magdalene(E) went to the disciples(F) with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.
