34 “My food is to do the will of him(A) who sent me(B) and to finish his work,”(C) Jesus told them. 35 “Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, and then comes the harvest’? Listen to what I’m telling you: Open[a] your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready[b] for harvest. 36 The reaper is already receiving pay and gathering fruit for eternal life,(D) so that the sower and reaper can rejoice together.

34 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will(A) of him who sent me and to finish his work.(B) 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.(C) 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests(D) a crop for eternal life,(E) so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
