8 Jesus said to him, (A)“Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” 9 (B)And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.
(C)Now that day was the Sabbath. 10 So the Jews[a] said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and (D)it is not lawful for you to take up your bed.”

8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”(A) 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,(B) 10 and so the Jewish leaders(C) said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”(D)
