61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples [a]complained about this, He said to them, “Does this [b]offend you? 62 (A)What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 (B)It is the Spirit who gives life; the (C)flesh profits nothing. The (D)words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?(A) 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man(B) ascend to where he was before!(C) 63 The Spirit gives life;(D) the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life.
