³³ Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time,^(A) and then I am going to the one who sent me.^(B)

Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet

13 It was just before the Passover Festival.^(A) Jesus knew that the hour had come^(B) for him to leave this world and go to the Father.^(C) Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

³ Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,^(A) and that he had come from God^(B) and was returning to God;

⁵ but now I am going to him who sent me.^(A) None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’^(B)

¹⁰ about righteousness,^(A) because I am going to the Father,^(B) where you can see me no longer;

¹⁷ At this, some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying, ‘In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me,’^(A) and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”^(B)

²⁸ I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”^(A)
