³¹ But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah,^(A) the Son^(B) of God,^[a](C) and by believing you may have life in His name.^(D)

⁵ When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching the message^[a] and solemnly testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.^(A)

² And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us,^(A) a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God,^(A) and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him.
