²³ Therefore this ^[a]account went out among ^(A)the brothers, that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain ^(B)until I come, what is that to you?”

³ Instead, ^(A)brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, ^(B)full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task.

³⁰ Now when ^(A)the ^[a]brothers learned of it, they brought him down to ^(B)Caesarea and ^(C)sent him away to ^(D)Tarsus.

²³ So he invited them in and gave them lodging.

Now on the next day he got ready and went away with them, and ^(A)some of ^(B)the brothers from ^(C)Joppa accompanied him.

Peter Reports in Jerusalem

11 Now the apostles and ^(A)the brothers and sisters who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

^12 (A)And the Spirit told me to go with them ^(B)without ^[a]misgivings. ^(C)These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house.

²⁶ and when he had found him, he brought him to ^(A)Antioch. And for an entire year they ^[a]met with the church and taught ^[b]considerable numbers of people; and ^(B)the disciples were first called ^(C)Christians in ^(D)Antioch.

²⁹ And to the extent that any of ^(A)the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the ^[a]relief of ^(B)the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

¹⁷ But ^(A)motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to ^[a](B)James and ^(C)the brothers.” Then he left and went to another place.
