⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Did I not choose you, ^(B)the Twelve? And yet one of you is ^(C)a devil.”

¹⁶ You did not choose me, but ^(A)I chose you and appointed you that you should go and ^(B)bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that ^(C)whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

^19 (A)If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because ^(B)you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

The Twelve Apostles

^13 (A)And he went up on the mountain and called to him those ^(B)whom he desired, and they came to him.

¹³ And when day came, ^(A)he called his disciples ^(B)and ^(C)chose from them twelve, whom he named ^(D)apostles:

² until the day when ^(A)he was taken up, after he ^(B)had given commands ^(C)through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.
