13 And the Sun abode, and the moon stood still, until the people avenged themselves upon their enemies: (is not this written in the book of [a]Jasher?) so the Sun abode in the midst of the heaven, and hasted not to go down for a whole day.

14 And there was no day like that before it, nor after it, that the Lord heard the voice of a man: for the Lord [b]fought for Israel.

15 ¶ After, Joshua returned, and all Israel with him unto the camp to Gilgal:

13 So the sun stood still,(A)
    and the moon stopped,
    till the nation avenged itself on[a] its enemies,

The sun stopped(C) in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. 14 There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting(D) for Israel!

15 Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.(E)
