21 And at that time Joshua came and cut off (A)the Anakim from the mountains: from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities. 22 None of the Anakim were left in the land of the children of Israel; they remained only (B)in Gaza, in Gath, (C)and in Ashdod.
23 So Joshua took the whole land, (D)according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel (E)according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land (F)rested from war.

21 At that time Joshua went and destroyed the Anakites(A) from the hill country: from Hebron, Debir(B) and Anab,(C) from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua totally destroyed them and their towns. 22 No Anakites were left in Israelite territory; only in Gaza,(D) Gath(E) and Ashdod(F) did any survive.
23 So Joshua took the entire land,(G) just as the Lord had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance(H) to Israel according to their tribal divisions.(I) Then the land had rest(J) from war.(K)
