Then they came out, they and all their armies with them, (A)as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots. So all of these kings gathered together, and came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.

Yet the Lord said to Joshua, “(B)Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I am going to turn all of them over to Israel as good as dead; you shall (C)hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

They came out with all their troops and a large number of horses and chariots—a huge army, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.(A) All these kings joined forces(B) and made camp together at the Waters of Merom(C) to fight against Israel.

The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand(D) all of them, slain, over to Israel. You are to hamstring(E) their horses and burn their chariots.”(F)
