12 The western border is the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. These are the borders around Judah that belong to their families.
13 Joshua gave Caleb, son of Jephunneh, a share of land among the people of Judah as Yahweh had told them. It was Kiriath Arba (now called Hebron). Arba was the father of Anak. 14 Caleb forced out Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, three descendants of Anak from Hebron.

12 The western boundary is the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea.(A)
These are the boundaries around the people of Judah by their clans.
13 In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb(B) son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah—Kiriath Arba(C), that is, Hebron.(D) (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)(E) 14 From Hebron Caleb drove out the three Anakites(F)—Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai,(G) the sons of Anak.(H)
