Caleb and Othniel

¹³ He gave Caleb son of Jephunneh the following portion among the descendants of Judah based on the Lord’s instruction to Joshua: Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak).

¹⁰ Judah also marched against the Canaanites who were living in Hebron^(A) (Hebron was formerly named Kiriath-arba^(B)). They struck down Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai.^(C)

²⁰ Judah gave Hebron to Caleb, just as Moses had promised.^(A) Then Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak^(B) who lived there.
