10 Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea was his border. And they touched upon Asher on the north, and upon Issachar on the east.

11 And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher, Beth-shean and its dependent villages, and Ibleam and its dependent villages, and the inhabitants of Dor and its dependent villages, and the inhabitants of En-Dor and its dependent villages, and the inhabitants of Taanach and its dependent villages, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its dependent villages, the three hilly regions.

12 But the children of Manasseh could not dispossess [the inhabitants of] those cities; and the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

10 On the south the land belonged to Ephraim, on the north to Manasseh. The territory of Manasseh reached the Mediterranean Sea and bordered Asher(A) on the north and Issachar(B) on the east.(C)

11 Within Issachar(D) and Asher, Manasseh also had Beth Shan,(E) Ibleam(F) and the people of Dor,(G) Endor,(H) Taanach(I) and Megiddo,(J) together with their surrounding settlements (the third in the list is Naphoth[a]).(K)

12 Yet the Manassites were not able(L) to occupy these towns, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that region.
