9 and said to the men, “(A)I know that the Lord has given you the land, and that the (B)terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have despaired because of you. 10 (C)For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the [a]Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and (D)what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you [b]utterly destroyed. 11 When we heard these reports, (E)our hearts melted and no [c]courage remained in anyone any longer because of you; for the (F)Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth below.

9 and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear(A) of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. 10 We have heard how the Lord dried up(B) the water of the Red Sea[a] for you when you came out of Egypt,(C) and what you did to Sihon and Og,(D) the two kings of the Amorites(E) east of the Jordan,(F) whom you completely destroyed.[b](G) 11 When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear(H) and everyone’s courage failed(I) because of you,(J) for the Lord your God(K) is God in heaven above and on the earth(L) below.
