12 “But if you turn away and go along with the other nations within your borders, if you intermarry with them or associate with them, 13 then you should know that Yahweh your Elohim will never again force these people out of your way. Instead, they will be a snare and a trap for you, a whip laid to your sides, and thorns in your eyes until none of you are left in this good land that Yahweh your Elohim has given you.
14 “Pay attention, because I will soon die like everyone else. You know with all your heart and soul that not one single promise which Yahweh your Elohim has given you has ever failed to come true. Every single word has come true.

12 “But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them(A) and associate with them,(B) 13 then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out(C) these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares(D) and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes,(E) until you perish from this good land,(F) which the Lord your God has given you.
14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth.(G) You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise(H) has been fulfilled; not one has failed.(I)

12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
13 Know for a certainty that the Lord your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.
14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
