20 If you abandon Yahweh and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you. He will destroy you, although he has been so good to you.”
21 The people answered Joshua, “No! We will only serve Yahweh!”
22 Joshua said to the people, “You have testified that you have chosen to serve Yahweh.”
They answered, “Yes, we have!”

20 If you forsake the Lord(A) and serve foreign gods, he will turn(B) and bring disaster(C) on you and make an end of you,(D) after he has been good to you.”
21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.”
22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses(E) against yourselves that you have chosen(F) to serve the Lord.”
“Yes, we are witnesses,(G)” they replied.
