Joshua 24:21-23

21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay, but we will serve the Lord.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses [a]against yourselves, that ye have chosen you the Lord, to serve him: and they said, We are witnesses.
23 Then put away now, said he, the strange [b]gods which are among you, and bow your hearts unto the Lord God of Israel.

New International Version
21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.”
22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses(A) against yourselves that you have chosen(B) to serve the Lord.”
“Yes, we are witnesses,(C)” they replied.
23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods(D) that are among you and yield your hearts(E) to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
