Joshua 24:21-23

21 The people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.” 22 Then Joshua said to the people, “You will serve as your own witnesses that you have chosen to serve the Lord.” They answered, “We are witnesses.” 23 He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

New International Version
21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.”
22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses(A) against yourselves that you have chosen(B) to serve the Lord.”
“Yes, we are witnesses,(C)” they replied.
23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods(D) that are among you and yield your hearts(E) to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
