23 “So now, put away the foreign gods which are in your midst, and (A)incline your hearts to Yahweh, the God of Israel.” 24 (B)And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve Yahweh our God, and we will listen to His voice.” 25 (C)So Joshua cut a covenant with the people that day and made for them a statute and a judgment in Shechem.

23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods(A) that are among you and yield your hearts(B) to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
24 And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.”(C)
25 On that day Joshua made a covenant(D) for the people, and there at Shechem(E) he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws.(F)
