Joshua 24:8-10
New English Translation
8 Then I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought with you, but I handed them over to you; you conquered[a] their land, and I destroyed them from before you. 9 Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, launched an attack[b] against Israel. He summoned[c] Balaam son of Beor to call down judgment on[d] you. 10 I refused to respond to Balaam; he kept[e] prophesying good things about[f] you, and I rescued you from his power.[g]

8 “‘I brought you to the land of the Amorites(A) who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land.(B) 9 When Balak son of Zippor,(C) the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor(D) to put a curse on you.(E) 10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you(F) again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
