Joshua 3:15-16

15 and when those who were carrying the ark came up to the Jordan and the feet of the priests carrying the ark [a]stepped down into the edge of the water (for the (A)Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest), 16 then (B)the waters which were [b]flowing down from above stood and rose up in (C)one heap, a great distance away at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those which were [c]flowing down toward the sea of the (D)Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed opposite Jericho.

15 Now the Jordan(A) is at flood stage(B) all during harvest.(C) Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing.(D) It piled up in a heap(E) a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan,(F) while the water flowing down(G) to the Sea of the Arabah(H) (that is, the Dead Sea(I)) was completely cut off.(J) So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.(K)
