Joshua 5:14-15
New International Reader's Version
14 “I am not on either side,” he replied. “I have come as the commander of the Lord’s army.” Then Joshua fell with his face to the ground. He asked the man, “What message does my Lord have for me?”
15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals. The place you are standing on is holy ground.” So Joshua took them off.

New International Version
14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown(A) to the ground(B) in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord[a] have for his servant?”
15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.”(C) And Joshua did so.
