8 Now our army has had to run away from our enemies! Lord, there is nothing more for me to say! 9 The Canaanites and the other tribes who live in this land will hear about what has happened. They will come to attack us and they will completely destroy us all. If that happens, nobody will ever respect your great name again!’
10 The Lord said to Joshua, ‘Stand up! Why are you lying there on the ground?

8 Pardon your servant, Lord. What can I say, now that Israel has been routed by its enemies? 9 The Canaanites and the other people of the country will hear about this and they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth.(A) What then will you do for your own great name?(B)”
