Caleb's Request and Inheritance

⁶ Then the people of Judah came to Joshua at Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the ^(A)Kenizzite said to him, “You know ^(B)what the Lord said to Moses the man of God in Kadesh-barnea concerning you and me.

¹⁴ But the sons of Moses the ^(A)man of God were named among the ^(B)tribe of Levi.

^16 (A)They took their accustomed posts according to the Law of Moses ^(B)the man of God. The priests threw the blood that they received from the hand of the Levites.

² Then arose Jeshua the son of Jozadak, with his fellow priests, and ^(A)Zerubbabel the son of ^(B)Shealtiel with his kinsmen, and they built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, ^(C)as it is written in the Law of Moses the ^(D)man of God.
