⁶ so that this will be a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’^{(A) 7} you should tell them, ‘The waters of the Jordan were cut off in front of the ark of the Lord’s covenant. When it crossed the Jordan, the Jordan’s waters were cut off.’ Therefore these stones will always be a memorial for the Israelites.”^(B)

²⁴ gave thanks, broke it, and said,^[a] “This is My body, which is^[b] for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”^(A)

²⁵ In the same way, after supper He also took the cup and said, “This cup is the new covenant^(B) established by My blood.^(C) Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
