Adoni Bezek fled. Judah’s troops chased him, caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes. Adoni Bezek said, “Seventy kings who had their thumbs and big toes cut off used to pick up food under my table. Elohim has paid me back for what I did to them.” Judah’s troops brought Adoni Bezek to Jerusalem, where he died.

The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem and captured it. They killed everyone there and set the city on fire.

Then Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back(A) for what I did to them.” They brought him to Jerusalem,(B) and he died there.

The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem(C) also and took it. They put the city to the sword and set it on fire.
