And he [a]judged Israel three and twenty years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.

¶ And after him arose Jair a Gileadite, and judged Israel two and twenty years.

And he had thirty sons that [b]rode on thirty asscolts, and they had thirty cities, which are called [c]Havoth Jair unto this day, and are in the land of Gilead.

Jair

He was followed by Jair(A) of Gilead, who led Israel twenty-two years. He had thirty sons, who rode thirty donkeys.(B) They controlled thirty towns in Gilead, which to this day are called Havvoth Jair.[b](C)
