6 There was no king in Israel in those days. Each man did what he thought was right.
7 Now there was a young man of Bethlehem in Judah. He was a Levite, of the family of Judah, and he was staying there. 8 He left the city of Bethlehem in Judah to find a place to live. As he traveled he came to the house of Micah in the hill country of Ephraim.

6 In those days Israel had no king;(A) everyone did as they saw fit.(B)
7 A young Levite(C) from Bethlehem in Judah,(D) who had been living within the clan of Judah, 8 left that town in search of some other place to stay. On his way[a] he came to Micah’s house in the hill country of Ephraim.
