Judges 2:12-14

12 And forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt and followed other gods, even the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger.
13 So they forsook the Lord, and served (A)Baal, and [a]Ashtoreth.
14 And the wrath of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers, that spoiled them, and he (B)sold them into the hands of their enemies round about them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

New International Version
12 They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods(A) of the peoples around them.(B) They aroused(C) the Lord’s anger(D) 13 because they forsook(E) him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.(F) 14 In his anger(G) against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands(H) of raiders who plundered(I) them. He sold them(J) into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.(K)
