And the people came unto the house of God and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept with great lamentation,

And said, O Lord God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that this day one tribe of Israel should want?

¶ And on the morrow the people rose up and made there an [a]altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
