14 So the Israelis served king Eglon of Moab for eighteen years.
15 But when the Israelis cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up Gera’s son Ehud, a left-handed descendant of Benjamin, as a deliverer for them. The Israelis paid tribute through him to king Eglon of Moab. 16 Ehud forged a double-edged sword that was one cubit[a] long, tied it to his right thigh under his cloak,

New International Version
14 The Israelites were subject to Eglon king of Moab(A) for eighteen years.
15 Again the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer(B)—Ehud(C), a left-handed(D) man, the son of Gera the Benjamite. The Israelites sent him with tribute(E) to Eglon king of Moab. 16 Now Ehud(F) had made a double-edged sword about a cubit[a] long, which he strapped to his right thigh under his clothing.
