6 And (A)they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons; and they served their gods.

7 So the children of Israel did (B)evil in the sight of the Lord. They (C)forgot the Lord their God, and served the Baals and [a]Asherahs. 8 Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and He (D)sold them into the hand of (E)Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaim eight years.

7 The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord; they forgot the Lord(C) their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs.(D) 8 The anger of the Lord burned against Israel so that he sold(E) them into the hands of Cushan-Rishathaim(F) king of Aram Naharaim,[a](G) to whom the Israelites were subject for eight years.
