Judges 3:7-9
New American Standard Bible
7 So the sons of Israel did (A)what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and they (B)forgot the Lord their God and (C)served the Baals and the [a]Asheroth. 8 Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim, king of [b]Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim for eight years.

9 But the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord, and the Lord raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to set them free, (D)Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.

Othniel
7 The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord; they forgot the Lord(A) their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs.(B) 8 The anger of the Lord burned against Israel so that he sold(C) them into the hands of Cushan-Rishathaim(D) king of Aram Naharaim,[a](E) to whom the Israelites were subject for eight years. 9 But when they cried out(F) to the Lord, he raised up for them a deliverer,(G) Othniel(H) son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, who saved them.
