Judges 5:14-16
American Standard Version
14 Out of Ephraim came down they whose root is in Amalek;
After thee, Benjamin, among thy peoples;
Out of Machir came down [a]governors,
And out of Zebulun they that handle [b]the marshal’s staff.
15 And [c]the princes of Issachar were with Deborah;
As was Issachar, so was Barak;
Into the valley they rushed forth at his feet.
By the watercourses of Reuben
There were great resolves of heart.
16 Why sattest thou among the sheepfolds,
To hear the pipings for the flocks?

14 Some came from Ephraim,(A) whose roots were in Amalek;(B)
Benjamin(C) was with the people who followed you.
From Makir(D) captains came down,
from Zebulun those who bear a commander’s[a] staff.
15 The princes of Issachar(E) were with Deborah;(F)
yes, Issachar was with Barak,(G)
sent under his command into the valley.

there was much searching of heart.
16 Why did you stay among the sheep pens[b](H)
to hear the whistling for the flocks?(I)
