Judges 6:36-38
New Century Version
36 Then Gideon said to God, “You said you would help me save Israel. 37 I will put some wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the wool but all of the ground is dry, then I will know that you will use me to save Israel, as you said.” 38 And that is just what happened. When Gideon got up early the next morning and squeezed the wool, he got a full bowl of water from it.

36 Gideon said to God, “If you will save(A) Israel by my hand as you have promised— 37 look, I will place a wool fleece(B) on the threshing floor.(C) If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know(D) that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.” 38 And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew—a bowlful of water.
